Carving pumpkins.

Jason picked out these pumpkins at the pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago. The larger one weighs 30 pounds...
Papa, Nanie, and Uncle Bobby came over today to help us carve pumpkins.

Week 24.

Here I am at week 24. I don't think I look very different from week to week, but I sure feel different. I measured my circumference today... 38 inches. This was Courtney's idea. She thought it'd be a fun measurement to keep track of. I don't think of it as a fun one since I have a long way to go and I'm only going to get bigger.

Meeting Owen.

We finally met Owen. Luke loved the idea of having someone smaller to play with or beat on.
Vovo and Owen.
Reiley was a bit hyper... I think he was trying to get our attention... It worked.

Our Minnesota trip.

My mom and the boys and I took off on an adventure on Tuesday night. We arrived in Anoka around 2am after 7 long hours in the car. Reiley slept most of the way and is a great traveller. Luke, on the other hand, is not. Let's just say he is a "homebody". Pictured above are: gma mimi, vovo and the boys at Hardees. We ate burgers and fries in honor of my late uncle chet (my mother's oldest brother and mimi's son). He would of been 61 today.

Marathon weekend.

We drove into Chicago on Saturday afternoon and met up with Nanie, Papa, Bobby, Kasey and some of her friends for a pre-race meal at Maggiano's in Old Orchard. The boys blew off some energy at the playground before hand.
Luke sitting on the wall of the maze as Reiley ran around like a wild man. Ok, so I don't have any marathon pictures yet... I used my other camera and haven't developed the film. At any rate, Kasey did an awesome job and finished in 4 hours and 26 minutes. Congratulations Kasey!

Luke's playhouse.

Luke's birthday present from mommy and daddy finally arrived. We set it up in our basement.
Luke loves it. It is called endless adventures by little tykes.
There are doors, windows, tire holes, a bank, a gas station, a market, a drive thru, a basketball hoop, a soccer net and much more.
Reiley enjoys it as well.

23 Weeks

I had my appointment on Tuesday this week. We had a good report from the ultrasound and the doctor gave me permission to travel this weekend to the Chicago Marathon and then on to Anoka to visit my grandma and cousins. The boys and my mom will be going with me. I'll be going to the doctor every 2 weeks from now on. In 4 weeks, I'll be getting a complete ultrasound to check the babies' development.

Pumpkin Patch...

We ended our afternoon at the patch with a nice train ride... Luke enjoyed the ride only once we got moving...

Krista, Brecken and Erik.
Reiley and mommy.

The three stooges.

Hay maze.

This is Reiley's expression after finding his own way out of the maze.
And here comes Luke.

The Pumpkin Patch.

Today we went to a pumpkin patch near by with our friends, Erik, Krista and Brecken.
Reiley and Luke ran/crawled through the hay maze.
Brecken (six months) and Luke trying to keep warm in their strollers.

Real shoes.

Here's Luke trying out his real shoes. He's not quite walking yet and the shoes didn't seem to help any. It will take some getting used to.

The aftermath

This is what our living room looked like after our wild morning. We better clean up before daddy comes home...
Luke decided not to take an afternoon nap and work on his free throws.
Luke's been battling a cold for 3 long weeks now. This is what the cold weather does to his complection, but he's still smilling. Another view of the Reiley and Luke tornado.

Building a Fort...

The boys and I spent the morning building and destroying a fort. This is Reiley going head first into his cave...
Luke was having such a fun time. Here he is watching Reiley.
They climbed up and down and tore all around for hours.
